Having Children Doesn’t Limit Your Life…

Hey everyone!

So this post is a little bit different to my normal topics, and it’s really based on some thoughts I’ve been having over the past few weeks.

Lots of people say that your life is over once you have children. That your life isn’t your own and you’re always having to think of someone else before yourself.

Which is partly true, but the tone in which it is said is the problem.

Before I had my baby, most of my days were filled with meaningless activities and more often than not I would be sitting at home watching TV until my then Fiancé came home to fill my time.

This might not be true for everyone, but before I had my little man I would get up late, do nothing, eat junk, go to work and maybe drink with friends on the weekend.

Once you have a child you have no choice but to get up and get going every day even if some days you really just can’t be bothered!

And in doing so my life has improved ten fold. I know my little man needs me. On a basic level he needs me to feed and water him. But children require a lot more than that to develop into happy people. They need love, fun, adventure, stimulation and a role model in their parents.

Now I have Hunter I walk more, play more, laugh more, love more, and possibly most importantly I think more.

I think about the person I am. And what I am teaching my son every day. Amongst many forms of learning, children pick up their behaviour through observation and re-enactment. In basic terms, what you do, they do. I realised that I needed to be calmer.

I realised what it meant when I heard people say ‘it’s not worth it‘. Whether is about a fight or an argument. Because it really isn’t worth it. If I got into an argument with someone now, it would have to be for a damn good reason. Because no way am I putting my child in harms way for nothing. I will teach my son to talk if he has a problem not shout.

Becoming a mother has made me re-evaluate my life goals, and strive to reach for my dream life with my family. The limits are endless.

*Disclaimer: this is my opinion, it’s cool if you don’t agree*

Let me know what you think! How did having children change your life?

Fashion Friday: Orange 🍊

Good Morning everyone! Hello to my new followers, and welcome back if you’re returning!

Today is Fashion Friday and I wanted you to bring the colour to this one. One I don’t often wear at that!

Orange, I know it’s a pretty bold statement but there was something cool about putting a blazer on over a dress!

Both of these items are from River Island

Dress: Click Here

Blazer: Click Here

These colours just scream holiday, and it kinda makes me sad because I’m not going abroad this year 😭!

I love the tassel detail on the dress, and of course the asymmetric design adds more interest to the overall look. The blazer adds a touch of sophistication and means that you could easily wear this outfit for an evening meal without getting too cold!

What do you think? I would love to hear from you so let me know in the comments below!

Makeup Monday: White Liner, a Beauty first!🤩

Good Morning! Happy Monday to you all!

I am excited about this post. I am reallllllly excited, because I feel like I have stepped out of my comfort zone with my makeup and done something a little different!

I did a makeup haul recently and I was on the hunt for one item in particular. White Eyeliner. And indeed I found a White Liquid Liner in Superdrug for an amazing £3… I mean what a price.

I am a black liner gal through and through. So white was a whole lot different to what I’m used to but I am so happy with my results!

I’m literally in love with this look. It’s my favourite to date. In terms of application I would say you have to go over the white a lot more than you do with black, this could possibly be to do with the price.

Do you like the little dots I put on my nose? I feel like they add a slightly boho touch.

I think the lip colour fits really well with the look as a whole, using my Primark Liquid Lip Kit, again £3.

I actually felt a little self conscious going out like this, mainly because you don’t see many people out and about rocking the white liner. But I did it anyway, and I actually got so many compliments! Lots of people said I looked really pretty! Which was really nice because generally I wouldn’t class myself as pretty.

LIFE UPDATE 01: Family Time

Yesterday was a great day!

You know those days where the family gets together, everyone pitches in some snacks and food, music playing, good times rolling 😂!

Well yesterday was one of those days and I made sure I soaked up all the good vibes! Family is everything. Humans long to belong. I happen to have a completely awesome family who make me laugh endlessly. You can’t really ask for more than that!

My baby boy got to have fun with his favourite pint sized auntie and he slept through last night so points all round!

My husband bought me some pretty flowers ! Still showing me he loves me after 9 years. I must be special 😏

I cooked some baked potatoes, which I have done countless times but obviously when I cook them for a gathering they’re absolutely pants!

We welcomed Dereck the dinosaur to the family! Hunter was obviously pleased!

So yeah, there’s no pics of my family cuz they’re all ugly! I joke. I had a lovely day I got hit in the face with numerous balls haha ➡️⚽️ that kind! And my home was definitely a lot less quiet than usual.

Hope you enjoyed that post as it’s a little different to my main topics!

Fashion Finds 02: Boot camp at 8, club at 9!

Bodysuit – £18

Trousers – £45

Shoes – £28

Hey heyyyyy! Looks like I’m back at it again with another fashion finds post! Did you like the title haha (I did clearly!)

I am literally loving all of the denim camo jeans I am seeing lately! Especially the non khaki versions, they are fresh and fierce! There is something so awesome about pairing trousers like this with shoes like that! It just screams confidence! I decided to keep the accompanying bodysuit pretty simple as I wanted to balance out the trousers a little. Of course I had to find some nails to compliment all the sass going on in this look! What do you think?

Happy Valentines Day ♥️

I LOVE love! It is so lovely.

So I’m dedicating this post to my gorgeous husband Kieran 😁! He has been my valentine for 9 years now. We have been through everything together and we are still going strong.

This is us at prom, and just married!

I have learnt through our nine years together, that you don’t stop getting to know each other, or at least we haven’t yet! It takes a long time to truly get to know someone and I’m glad he chose me to know him the best!

He recently got a face tattoo, and although a lot of people think this is plain wrong, I happen think it looks pretty hot 😏!

He has been pursuing his passion for Rap music recently and I would love it if you guys could check out his first video! It’s an A-Z Rap challenge and I’m not even being biased, it is really good! It would mean so much to him and might score me a few browny points this Valentine’s Day 😘!

If you have a YouTube account and you enjoyed it give him a follow too!

I love you Kie, always have, always will.

100 followers and how I got them!

Today I woke up to my 100 follower award!

And I feel like throwing a party! I knew blogging would be hard work and take lots of commitment and consistency to get me where I wanted to be, but the reward of an increasing following is coming sooner than I expected, so that’s just great!

Some of you may have thousands of followers, and my number may be but a pinch of salt to you. On the flip side some of you might only have a couple of followers to your name so far and want to know more about how you can hit that 💯! So here are my three top tips for successful blogging!

1: Post consistently

As much as blogging is done for fun, if you’re wanting to build up a good following, you need to give something back! Regular posts will keep your followers interested. If you only blog every couple of weeks, your blog isn’t going to gain any momentum!

Set yourself the task of sitting down and working out how regularly you can write a good blog post. You might find you can write one every Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Or like me, you could blog daily! It just depends on your schedule and how you decide to fit blogging in! I wake up a little earlier than I used to now, so that I can make sure I have a good blog posted before I go to work!

2: TALK TO OTHER BLOGGERS!

I can not say this enough! Your blog is ran by you and you alone. But the blogging world is not a lonely place to live… it is rich with information and people that have the same interests as you, and indeed have something to share. Get out into the blogging community and share your thoughts on others posts, if you like the blog, give it a follow. It is that simple. I have picked up so many tips from my fellow bloggers and I have had fun reaching out to others to share a kind word.

If you’re not reaching out to other people, why should people take an interest in what you’re saying? We can all grow together, imagine how good it would feel if you rose to success along with the people who stuck with you from the beginning? HELL YEAH!

3: Make use of the tags!

This is a pretty simple one, when you’ve finally got to the end of your blog post, make sure you tag the topics your blog covers! If you write about fashion, tag fashion. This way people who are interested in he same subjects as you will see your posts! It’s no good blogging into thin air, you will find it a lot harder to gain readers this way! You can add up to 15 tags per post so USE THEM!

_________________________________________________

As a final note I would just like to thank every single one of my followers! You’re awesome, and a special thanks to those of you that take the time out to read my posts and share your likes and thoughts! It means the world to me, and to say thank you I will be doing a 200 follower giveaway so keep your eyes peeled for that because I’m going to be choosing some great beauty related prizes!

If you would like me and maybe a few others to visit your blog then comment your link below and I will be sure to stop by!
